Erin Dalton
Erin is often the first voice you'll hear from Empassion. As Patient Experience Coordinator, she answers the phone, and for many callers, that conversation is the first time they've said their concerns out loud.
Erin's background is anything but traditional. She earned her degree in Music Composition from Gardner-Webb University and has spent the past two decades teaching, performing, and creating in a wide range of settings. She currently leads storytelling and music workshops for outdoor school educators. She also fronts the regional jazz and R&B band Charlie Maples as lead singer and trumpeter, and she plays piano and tenor guitar too.
An Enneagram 7 at heart, Erin approaches life with curiosity and a sense of adventure. When she's not working, she's often exploring estate sales, writing music, tending her garden, or spending time outdoors—preferably near water, with a cup of tea in hand. She also volunteers with the owl aviary at Roan Mountain State Park and enjoys learning about herbal medicine. Erin lives with her husband, Andrew, and their two cats, Lew and Essie.
